Q: What do I need to enter the competition?
A: An original feature film screenplay or teleplay, a printed and signed application form and a US $50 entry fee. The only acceptable forms of payment are check, money order or PayPal. No cash will be accepted and the entry fee is non-refundable. Checks/money orders should be made out to The Inkwell Opportunity Inc.
Q: Who can enter the competition?
A: Any writer who is 18 or older and has a story to tell.
Q: Could a member of the Writers Guild of America enter a screenplay into the Inkwell Opportunity competition?
A: Yes. We highly recommend for non-WGA members to register their work(s) with the WGA or copyright their material with the Library or Congress.
Q: When is the entry deadline?
A: Our deadline is December 15th, 2010. Winners
will be announced and contacted within 30 days after the deadline.
Q: Are electronic submissions allowed?
A: Inkwell Opportunity entries will only be accepted as
hard copies mailed to the submission office. No electronic submissions (i.e.
email, PDF files) will be accepted.
Q: How do I enter the competition?
A: Applicants must fill out and send a printed application
form.
Q: Can I enter more than one screenplay into the Inkwell
Opportunity competition?
A: We don't encourage limiting creativity. If you have more
than one great idea, send it to us.
Q: As a foreign citizen, I have difficulty obtaining United
States dollars. May I use a check in my own currency or currency-exchanged
equivalent to US $50 to pay the entry fee?
A: No. Entry fees must be in U.S. dollar standard. Entrants
in other countries must find a nearby bank or post office that can write
a money order payable in U.S. dollars. Using our Pay Pal option may be the
best choice.
Q: What are the prizes?
A: Exclusive client representation and the development of
the winning screenplay/winners' other work(s) by the film and television
